The Good Wife Attacks Sarah Palin

Hollywood and the politics of Capital Hill have long been intertwined. Generally speaking, those tangled up vines lean to the left quite a bit. Not to say Conservatives don't get much exposure in the world of entertainment, but they sure don't get the kind they'd prefer. The press that Conservatives garner doesn't really fall into the "any press is good press" category.

Case in point, this 'dandy' of a character development on the show "The Good Wife" on CBS, who incidentally has had their own share of problems lately with another left-wing nut job - Charlie Sheen. The character is portrayed as a ballistics expert, Tea Party supporter and Sarah Palin fan whose name is Kurt McVeigh. Yes, like Timothy McVeigh the Oklahoma City bomber.

CBS signed off on co-creator Robert King's naming of the character and King stated that it was not intended to portray Republicans or the Tea Party in a negative light.

Really, dude? Are you sure about that? That's exactly what it does. Man up and say it because we all know it. Otherwise, we wouldn't be here talking about it.

If you don't like the political agenda of a TV show that's on the air, organize your network to communicate your feelings about it to the network. Do not just stand on the sidelines and let the liberals in Hollywood dictate to you what makes good television.

Maureen Dowd - Frustrated Homecoming Queen Wannabe

So NYT op-ed writer (can't bring myself to call her a journalist) Maureen Dowd has reverted to junior high. At least in as much as the immature name-calling in her 800 word piece on Sarah Palin's decision to step down as Governor of Alaska.

It must be so maddening...so completely mind-twisting in the vast, cavernous reaches of Ms. Dowd's brain to have nothing "on" Sarah Palin than to call her names for leaving the post as Governor.

The air in that office must be so thin and lacking in oxygen that the conversation had to have been not much more interesting than this -

NYT Editor: "So...you're telling me you have no story beyond what we know. You just want to call her names and make fun of country music?"

Dowd: "Yes."

NYT Editor: "Sounds great! Run with it!"

And the NYT wonders why readership has tanked! Really? REALLY?!?!

Dowd strikes me as someone who (sadly) didn't receive the parental attention she should have received and was also likely teased a lot in school (code for NOT popular...like Sarah Palin). Now she has a personal axe to grind with another popular girl going places with a 'higher calling'.

Don't think Ms. Dowd sounds just like a bitter, immature high school newspaper columnist who had zero chance at even getting 5 votes for homecoming queen court (let along prom)? Take a look at this garish attempt at "hard-hitting" and then look in the mirror and say you think she's spot on...without laughing out loud.

I'd almost feel sorry for her (as you would if she were a character in a movie). However, the nastiness that Dowd spits is full of hate and bitterness. The kind that doesn't improve or soften over time with age and maturity. It's the kind that leaves you friendless at the end of a life spent adding as much sour lime to your words for the sake of selling papers and making yourself feel better for a moment as you hit send and file your paper with the editor-in-chief. Sad, really.

But, in an effort to not degrade this post to the same depths of immaturity as Ms. Dowd, I will wrap up by apologizing to Ms. Dowd for any inaccuracies in my personal assessment of her (though I suspect I'm correct).

Frankly, the only reason I suspect Matt Drudge continues to even post NYT articles on his site is that he must be reveling in the rapid descent of the paper's relevance in society. The journalistically bankrupt "news"paper must make amusing bathroom reading for Mr. Drudge. I know it does for me.

We Brought Saxby Back!!

Went to the Saxby Chambliss rally Monday here in Atlanta.

Thrilled to see the smack-down the GOP gave Jim Martin, but more grateful that B.O. doesn't have a filibuster-proof majority.
Congrats, Saxby and thank you Sarah for being here!

No More Straw!

One more Dem in office could be the straw that breaks the camel's back tomorrow.

Saxby Chambliss needs to be elected tomorrow (Dec. 2).

Why?

Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. A Democratic majority means a filibuster-proof environment giving B.O. way too much power. Unfortunately, this is one of those things where you can only say "I told you so" after the damage is done. But with B.O.'s chief guy saying things like "F*** Republicans" you can bet that there is a serious agenda coming into office.

Things in moderation are okay, excessive amounts of things are bad for the system. Examples:
Food - good
Too much food - you get fat

Alcohol - enjoyable
Too much alcohol - do stupid things, get alcohol poisoning, cause drunk driving accidents, etc.

Democrats - acceptable
Too many Democrats - excessive power, really corrupt system, one-sided agendas getting pushed through, super-liberal agendas getting pushed through with no checks and balances to keep a healthy balance, and I could go on and on and on

While I disagree with the Democratic agenda, a healthy balance is good for America. Too much Democratic power is not good for us as a country.

If you're in Georgia, please vote for Saxby Chambliss tomorrow.

Palin Power hits Hotlanta

Very excited today as I'm off to see Sarah Palin this afternoon. She's speaking at a rally here in Atlanta for Saxby Chambliss.

Libs hate her because she has absolutely galvanized the conservatives.

Conservatives love her because she actually represents us. In her words, she represents Joe Sixpack American.

Vote Chambliss for Georgia!

Palin Power still Packs a Punch

When was the election? Yes, weeks ago. In the time since, B.O. has only just passed Sarah, bumping her down to the #4 spot on Lycos weekly list of the Top 50 searches online.

What this likely evidences is that either the RNC got their pick totally wrong for the top of the ticket - or they have a really huge game plan for the next 4 years. Er...2 years, if you count how B.O. likely plans to campaign.

Politico covers the top internet rankings Sarah Palin has been garnering, including the only politician in Yahoo's Top 20 (she got the #4 spot there as well).

Detractors who slammed Palin as the reason for the GOP loss didn't get it right. With the enormous interest people have taken in her, it may be safer to say that she was the reason the election was not a completely lopsided loss and that conservatives actually have someone they can get behind a la Reagan.

Sarah in 2012!

Secret Service says...

No one said "kill him." This coming directly from Secret Service agents on the ground.

More lies from Camp Obama.

Not surprisingly, you don't hear about ridiculous stories like this from McCain/Palin.

Vote for the ticket that represents Joe Sixpack American and Joe the Plumber - who by the way has since come out and said that Obama's proposed economic plan infuriates him!

When is it okay to mock a war hero?

Of course the answer is NEVER!! Unfortunately, not everyone in the U.S. has the same manners that they should.

Our friends over at Vigilant Squirrel Brigade have some sad videos. I say sad because the liberals in NY - specifically it appears to be some Code Pink people - are mocking John McCain...a war hero.

It is appropriate to rail against someone's politics. But it should outrage people to see the man getting mocked because of his war injuries.

I'm all for 1st Amendment rights, but it is sad to see people abuse the right. You don't like McCain? Fine - but it's worse than tacky to make fun of the physical ailments he sustained defending our country...and our rights to things like free speech. Shame on you.

John McCain's story as a war hero is a story that you would think would soften the heart of nearly anyone. Stubbornness against the enemy, steadfastness in being a leader for his fellow POWs. He's no war monger, but Joe Sixpack American believes he'll stand up for what is right.

That is the kind of person that should be leading us. If you are undecided and reading this, please vote for John McCain/Sarah Palin.

Campaign Contribution Theft for Dummies, by B. Hussein Obama

Check with your credit card company tonight! This Kansas City couple was charged $2300 for the Obama campaign.

And no...they didn't have donor's remorse. They are McCain/Palin supporters and their Chase credit card was used fraudulently to obtain the donation!

Not quite as unbelievable as the fact that Obama has people stealing money is the fact that Chase grilled this couple who are clearly not supporters of B. Hussein Obama.

I recently went to a Toby Keith concert. He made a great statement that should have been heard by every single McCain/Palin supporter. "Don't be afraid to be patriotic." I'll leave out the colorful statement afterward, but it further cemented his point.

So this is how Obama has bank-rolled his campaign - ripping off McCain supporters through credit card fraud. He knows that insurance will bail out the credit card company's loss - meanwhile, he's got a big financial warchest.

You don't hear about this kind of thievery from Republicans!!

Tell your liberal-leaning friends to reconsider voting for someone who behaves like this.

Vote McCain/Palin!!
