Not even the lefties at Politico could get some Obama-love when B.O. shut them down the other day asking a fairly 'hard-hitting' (we would just say 'direct') question.
Now, one of those ding-a-lings over there has the lacking judgement to say that Republicans are "Loath to criticize a president who enjoys stratospheric approval ratings and the good tidings of most Americans...".
Huh?!?
Stratospheric approval ratings? I would hardly expect much to change in terms of approval ratings after a paltry WEEK in office. Not that we're hoping those approval ratings stay high. But after only one week it would seem just about any POTUS would have a unique situation on their hands to have a catastrophic drop in approval after that much time. It's just plain silly...silly-like-a-six-year-old-making-silly-faces-silly...to even address B.O.'s one-week approval ratings.
This is not prime-time and the Neilsens are not tracking the action here. It's the presidency of the United States. Although, the way the liberals have fawned over B.O., you'd think he was the winner on a new reality show called Political Idol.
But, hey, we are talking about the perspective of the liberal, loony-left at Politico.

Palin Power still Packs a Punch
When was the election? Yes, weeks ago. In the time since, B.O. has only just passed Sarah, bumping her down to the #4 spot on Lycos weekly list of the Top 50 searches online.
What this likely evidences is that either the RNC got their pick totally wrong for the top of the ticket - or they have a really huge game plan for the next 4 years. Er...2 years, if you count how B.O. likely plans to campaign.
Politico covers the top internet rankings Sarah Palin has been garnering, including the only politician in Yahoo's Top 20 (she got the #4 spot there as well).
Detractors who slammed Palin as the reason for the GOP loss didn't get it right. With the enormous interest people have taken in her, it may be safer to say that she was the reason the election was not a completely lopsided loss and that conservatives actually have someone they can get behind a la Reagan.
Sarah in 2012!
